Career
Karen Carreno has done covers for Maxim, Marie Claire and Lucire Magazines. She has done advertisements for JLo, Lacoste, and Guess? amongst others. She currently goes by her given name Alessandra Francesca Blanco since retiring from modeling and pursuing a career in television.
Surrounded by a large family, united and full of love, she lived a happy childhood and was expected to finish her career in financial engineering. At the tender age of fifteen however she was presented with an opportunity for a runway show, making her question a career in finance and leaving her at the crossroads as to which avenue to pursue.
After various engagements and events in Colombia, she decided to leave her family, University and friends and moved to the land of the Aztec. In Mexico she worked for major Modelling agencies for four years, and was hired to do magazine covers, runway shows, advertising campaigns, television commercials and music videos, one of them for Juanes, a renowned Colombian Pop Star. Karen can be seen in his video “A Dios le pido”, a major international hit, among many others.
